Puré de Coliflor (Cauliflower puree )

I decided today was the day to start something new, I found out I got an “A” on my last micro test, yay! To celebrate I made up my mind to be adventurous. What’s more adventurous than cauliflower puree? I love mashed potatoes, but it has so many carbs, even though it has a good source of potassium and vitamin c. Cauliflower also has potassium and vitamin c just less carbs.

Ingredient’s you’ll need:

1 whole cauliflower

3 garlic cloves

1 tablespoon of olive oil

2 teaspoons of parsley flakes

1/2 a teaspoon of salt

Begin by steaming your cauliflower takes about 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, sauté garlic in olive oil and set aside. Once cauliflower is cooked, throw it into the food processor or blender with the sautéed garlic and olive oil (olive oil is really important or you will get an unfavorable texture, nothing like mashed potatoes).

I also sautéed some mushrooms and asparagus with olive oil and seasoned with lemon pepper to accompany my chicken.

For the chicken:

Ingredients you’ll need:20150722_171830

1 package of chicken

2 teaspoons of ground mustard

2 teaspoons of Mrs. Dash (Salt-free garlic and herbs)

2 teaspoons of parsley flakes

2 teaspoons of basil leaves

2 teaspoons of thyme

2 teaspoons of sesame seeds

1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt

Mix all the seasonings with the chicken and pan sear with olive oil on a non-stick pan.
